《回忆点点滴滴》（又叫《岁月的童话》）是吉卜力动画电影中一部很特别的作品（导演高畑勋的作品还包括《百变狸猫》、《我的邻居山田君》、《再见萤火虫》等，他也是《天空之城》和《风之谷》的制作人）。我第一次看是在本科低年级，差点睡着，然后就把它忘了。上次回国在王府井外文书店买了一套“宫崎骏作品集”（应该是盗版，因为分不清宫崎骏与吉卜力作品的区别），在一个百无聊赖的晚上把这部片塞进DVD，当片尾曲响起的时候发现自己竟然泪流满面。
女主角妙子是一个普通的都市白领，与两个姐姐的唯一不同是多一点点坚持（我无法用一个词描述坚持什么）。在一次为期十天的乡间旅行中，她不时回想起小学时自己经历的点点滴滴，被男生表白啦、第一次来例假啦、明星梦的破灭啦……几乎每个女孩都经历过，但长大成人的我们大多已忘记那些最纯粹的快乐/满足/害羞/懊恼/委屈/梦想/坚持，取而代之的是空虚/放纵/懦弱/虚荣/嫉妒/欲望/放弃。在现实与回忆的交错中，妙子被小小的自己感动，最终毅然做出了改变一生的决定。
片尾曲《愛は花?君はその種子》（爱是花你是那种子），英文版名叫 The Rose，是一首被无数歌手翻唱过的好歌（想不出其他的词来形容），也是让我的眼泪在最后一刻把持不住的原因（虽然听不懂日文版歌词）。歌声响起的时候，画面中妙子结束假期坐火车回东京，车厢里空无一人，窗外是她恋恋不舍的宁静乡村，童年的回忆从四面八方向她涌来…… 下一站，她突然起身下车，然后踏上反向的火车，去往她真正渴望的生活。
