2．对话

       A级考试的Section A和B级考试的Section B部分是简短对话题，每小题包含一男一女一个轮回，共5组，谈话双方的声音特点明显不同，身份明确，清晰度较高，A级录音放一遍，B级为两遍。

       这部分常出现的题型有以下几类：

① 数字题

【例4】2005年1月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: M: Can I rent a room for two weeks? I’m not sure whether I’ll stay for a whole month.

          W: Yes. It’s $150 a week but only $400 a month.

          Q: How much will the man pay if he rents the room for two weeks?

You’ll read: A. $400   B. $200  C. $300  D. $150

解析：根据“It’s $150 a week but only $400 a month.”可以计算出两周的房租为$300，因此选项C为正确答案。

【例5】2003年6月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M: Excuse me! But when can I take the bus for the airport?

          W: There is a bus at 10:00. You will have to wait for five minutes.

          Q: What time is it, now?

You’ll read: A: 9:55    B: 10:00   C: 9:50   D: 10:05

解析：对话中女士说距离10点的公交车还要等5分钟，也就意味着当时是9点55分，即A项。

 

② 地点题

【例6】2005年1月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: W: John, listen. It’s the final call for Flight CA102.

          M: Yes, let’s hurry. Where is Gate 9?

          Q: Where are the two speakers?

You’ll read: A. At a railway station.    B. At a bank.

          C. At an airport.          D. At a parking lot.

解析：根据对话中关键词“Flight CA102”和“Gate 9”，正确选项为C。

【例7】2005年6月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M: I want to mail these books to New York.

          W: By ship, or by air, sir?

          Q: Where is the man?

③ 身份题

【例8】2007年6月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: W: Hello sir, may I take your order now?

M: Sorry, I haven’t decided yet.

Q: What’s the probable relationship between the two speakers?

You’ll read: A. Doctor and patient.     B. Boss and secretary.

          C. Waitress and guest.     D. Husband and wife.

【例9】2007年12月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M：What’s wrong with me, doctor?

          W：Nothing serious, you have just got a cold.

C. Teacher and student.      D. Patient and doctor.

④ 建议题

【例10】2005年12月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: W: My telephone doesn’t work. What should I do about it?

          M: Why not ask Mike for help? He works for the telephone company.

          Q: What does the man mean?

You’ll read: A. She should repair the telephone herself.

          B. She can turn to Mike for help.

          C. He knows nothing about telephone.

          D. He will call the telephone company.

解析：“Why not …”句型表示提出建议，选项B中“turn to Mike for help”与对话原文“ask Mike for help”意思相符，所以是最佳答案。

【例11】2003年12月 B级 SectionB

You’ll hear: W: You look so tired, Joe. You’d better go home and have a rest.

          M: Thank you! I think I’ll take your advice.

          Q: What will Joe probably do?

You’ll read: A. visit a friend     B. go to work    C. take a rest    D. see a doctor

解析：对话中女士“You’d better …”一句提出自己的建议，而从男士的回应“take your advice”可知，他已经接受了对方的建议，所以正确答案为C。

 

⑤ 天气题

【例12】2007年12月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M: These streets are covered with snow.

W: That’s true. It has been snowing for a whole day.

Q: What’s the weather like?

You’ll read: A. Cloudy.   B. Snowy.    C. Windy.        D. Rainy.

解析：根据关键词“snow”、“snowing”，可非常轻松的选出答案B。

 

⑥ 信息复现

【例13】2004年6月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: M: I’d like to buy a new dress for my wife.

          W: The women’s department is up on the second floor.

          Q: What does the man want to buy for his wife?

You’ll read: A. Flowers.   B. Glasses.   C. A blouse.  D. A dress.

解析：由对话原文中“buy a new dress”可直接得出正确答案为D。

【例14】2007年6月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M: I’m going to Beijing tomorrow. Would you please book a ticket for me?

          W: Sure, with pleasure.

          Q: What will the woman probably do?

You’ll read: A. Buy a book.     B. Meet him tomorrow.

         C. Go to Beijing.     D. Book a ticket.

解析：由对话原文中“book a ticket”可直接得出正确答案为D。

 

⑦ 同义转述

【例15】2007年6月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: M: I’d like to see your manager.

          W: Sorry, he won’t be back from the conference until next Friday.

          Q: What can we learn about the manager?

You’ll read: A. He has returned from a conference.

          B. He’ll have a conference next Friday.

          C. He’s waiting for the man in his office.

          D. He won’t be available until next Friday.

解析：对话中“won’t be back from the conference”是指经理要到下周五才能开完会返回，这与选项中“won’t be available”是同一个意思，故该题正确答案为D。

【例16】2005年6月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: M: What do you think of our new boss?

          W: She is kind and patient.

          Q: What does the woman think of the new boss?

You’ll read: A. She is very nice.     B. She is impatient.

          C. She is careless.      D. She is very rich.

解析：对话中女士对新老板的评价为“kind”和“patient”，和选项A“nice”的意思相符。

 

⑧ 隐含推断

【例17】2006年12月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: M: That was a really interesting movie. I hope you enjoyed it too.

          W: Well, I fell asleep just after it started.

          Q: How did the woman feel about the movie?

You’ll read: A. It was interesting.     B. It was quite long.

          C. It was boring.        D. It was easy to understand.

解析：从女士的回答“fell asleep”推断，这部电影应该很无聊，所以答案选C。

【例18】2007年6月 B级 Section B

You’ll hear: W: I’m afraid we will be late for the party.

          M: Don’t worry. There is still twenty minutes to go.

          Q: What does the man mean?

You’ll read: A. They won’t go to the party.   B. They won’t be late.

          C. They will be late.           D. They will stay at home.

解析：对话中女士担心聚会迟到，而男士安慰说，还有二十分钟呢，由此可以推断出B为最佳选项。

 

答题策略

① 熟悉语境词汇

       地点题和身份题都需要考生根据对话中出现的关键词来作出正确判断，而听力试题的设计源于实际生活，与考生的日常环境息息相关，因此熟悉与考生日常生活相关的语境词汇是非常有帮助的。AB级考试涉及的语境词汇主要有以下几类：

② 关注答话者

       据统计，80％以上的提问是针对对话中答话者的内容，因此在听对话时，应予以格外关注，尤其是“but”、“yet”等信号词之后的内容。

【例19】2007年6月 A级 Section A

You’ll hear: M: John’s not good at math. Maybe he needs a tutor to get him through the class.

          W: That could be true. But I think we should talk with him first.

          Q: What are the two persons probably going to do?

You’ll read: A. Study math with John.      B. Talk with John about his study.

          C. Ask John to be their tutor.   D. Take John to a doctor.

解析：在这个对话中，男士提议说要为约翰请一位家庭教师，女士首先肯定对方的观点，接着话锋一转，建议说应该先和约翰谈谈。“But”之后的信息才是女士想要表达的重点。正确答案为B。
